Parables of the
Bible
Parables
are stories that teach or provide guidance in morals, ethics, character,
values, and spirutality.
Characters in the stories
are usually fictional, but can be real.
Many
parables were told by Jesus himself, to his Disciples, as he taught them while
traveling with them.
Sometimes
Jesus told parables during his sermons, to put lessons in simpler and more understandable
terms.
There
are also other parables told in the Bible, in the Old Testament, but not told
by Jesus.
There
are parables in both the New Testament and the Old Testament.
It
will take some time for me to finish this section, so come back again, to see
updates.
Below are listed most of the more well-known
parables of the Bible, and their location in the Bible.
A
few of them are in more than one location.
I am merely human, so there may be an occasional error.

This
list of Parables is not yet complete, but is a work-in-progress project.
The
Beattitudes are in Matt
5:3-11.
The
“Golden Rule” is in Matt
7:12.
“Strait Gate & Narrow Way” vs “Wide Gate & Broad Way” is in Matt 7:13-14.
“Strait Gate & Narrow Way” represents the
Righteous’s path to Eternal Life, and
“Wide Gate & Broad Way” represents the Wicked’s
path to Destruction.
DIVORCE is addressed by Jesus in Matt. 19:9; Jesus said, “Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication,
and shall marry another, committeth adultery; and whoso marrieth her which is
put away doth commit adultery.”
